Content Theft: Taking another affiliate’s content and publishing it as one’s own without permission or proper credit. Application of Affiliate Links on Media Associated With: Illegal activities (e.g., illegal drugs, phishing, terrorism, criminal conduct, contests, pyramid schemes, chain letters). Content related to tobacco, gambling, or weapons. Pornographic or obscene material. Excessive or explicit violence. Defamatory, offensive, or profane content. Discriminatory or “hate speech” targeting individuals or groups based on race, gender, creed, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, or language. Viruses, worms, corrupted files, malware, or any content intended to harm or disable software, hardware, or security systems. Affiliate Restrictions: Affiliates, and any third-party collaborators, must not: Use advertising emails to promote Shopee without prior written approval from Shopee. Employ automated queries, robots, or computer-generated search requests. Use deceptive search engine optimization (SEO) practices to create or hide false impressions, clicks, inquiries, or conversions. Drive or utilize SEM or keyword-based ads using the Shopee brand or similar terms unless Shopee provides written consent; such terms should be added as negative keywords. Employ scraping or other automated data extraction methods to access Shopee’s intellectual property (e.g., logos, visuals, and creative assets) or confidential information from the platform. Place affiliate links or promote affiliate media through Shopee’s or its sellers’ social media channels to hijack traffic. Place affiliate links on media with prohibited content or on torrent or streaming sites. (If an affiliate network) Re-broker to another network as sub-affiliates. Include lotteries or lucky draws in affiliate media without Shopee’s consent. Compliance with laws and terms of use The promoter should ensure that the placement of the promoter's media and promoter links complies with all applicable laws in the promoter's location or the region where the goods and services are provided, and in compliance with the terms of use and other current standards or specifications required by Shopee (Including content restrictions, technical specifications, privacy requirements, user experience requirements and requirements related to Shopee's public image). Prohibited Behaviors Promoters shall not engage in the following behaviors by themselves or allow any third party: Use promotional emails to promote Shopee without Shopee's prior written approval; Use robots or automated manipulation tools, or search requests made through machine or software systems; Using search engine optimization services in a deceptive manner to generate or conceal views, searches, clicks, or user conversions that are fraudulent or of no value; Use any search engine optimization keywords and other keyword-based advertising traffic using the Shopee brand or Shopee Platform’s own brands (in other words, “Shopee” and other words that are likely to cause confusion with Shopee must be considered as a negative keyword) without Shopee’s prior written approval; Use any automated means or form of information collection from public information sources or other information collection methods to log in, manipulate, collect, or use any information on the Shopee Platform including but not limited to products posted for sale, product prices, product price change history by category, Shopee's intellectual property rights, including logos, key images, creative materials, and other Confidential Information whether on or off the Platform; Apply Affiliate Marketing Links on Affiliate Marketing Media containing Prohibited Content, or on torrent sites or online content viewing. For clarity, Prohibited Content includes but is not limited to content that: promotes or is related to illegal activities (drugs, hoax attacks, terrorism, criminal activity, quiz or competition games, pyramid schemes, or chain letters); promotes or is related to tobacco, gambling, or weapons; ontains obscene or inappropriate content; involves inappropriate or violent images; be defamatory, inappropriate or vulgar (offensive); is discriminatory or conveys hateful/divisive content, whether directed at a person or a group of people, and does not discriminate on the basis of race, gender, origin, nationality, religion, sexual orientation, or the language used by that person or groups; promote or contain viruses, malicious software, corrupted files, malware, pirated software, or other material that may damage or disable software, hardware, or security measures; other illegal content. Apply Affiliate Marketing Links or advertise Affiliate Marketing Media through any Shopee social media channels or any other Affiliate Marketing Unit's social media channels to capture traffic; (Where the Affiliate Marketing Partner is an Affiliate Marketing network) assign work to another affiliate marketing network as a sub-Affiliate Marketing Partner; Incorporate any lottery or sweepstakes in the Affiliate Marketing Facility; Posting random or unrelated content to the item/store that the Affiliate is promoting (including but not limited to, fake ads, entertainment news, clickbait product reviews); Posting Affiliate Links without content or sending the same Affiliate Link to the same audience; Provide other Affiliate Marketing Partners' social media channels without permission to attract and meet registration criteria; Run clickbait ads for the purpose of attracting clicks and traffic; Stealing or using another person's content and posting it publicly on social media channels without that person's permission; Calling for or participating in virtual orders, placing orders on behalf of others, placing orders for the purpose of buying and reselling on or outside the Shopee e-commerce platform; Allow any party other than the party registered for affiliate marketing activities with Shopee to use the account, identification code or any other information to conduct affiliate marketing activities without prior notification or registration with Shopee; Use any form of advertising that impersonates Shopee or violates the provisions of law; Use fake, dishonest or non-authentic information to register an account including but not limited to partner's identification information, tax code, bank account, and linked social network information; Buy, sell, lease, lend, register Partner Account; Use tools, software, or intervention techniques to (i) automatically register Shopee accounts, (ii) abuse Shopee Programs and promotions, (iii) change or falsify data including but not limited to views, interactions, followers, purchases, clicks, add products to livestreams/videos, replay livestream content, create mass videos, disrupt normal interaction flows; Unfair competition or acts contrary to the principles of good faith, honesty and other standards in business, causing harm to Partners, Customers, Sellers, third parties or Shopee's economic interests; Create and/or operate multiple partner accounts in connection with any conduct that violates the terms or spirit of the Terms of Participation or Shopee's regulations and Policies from time to time; Access the Shopee Site, open a Partner Account or otherwise access your Partner Account through any software or hardware not approved or provided by Shopee, including emulators, simulators, automated software, device information-altering software, or any other software, device or hardware for the purpose of committing fraud, abusing the Shopee Programs, Policies or having similar functions; Abuse Shopee programs to benefit more than a regular Partner is entitled to (including but not limited to abuse of discount codes, Shopee Coins, sponsorships or promotional benefits); Use the Partner Account and/or participate in Shopee Programs to violate any applicable local, federal, national or international laws, regulations, rules, directives, guidelines, policies (whether or not in force) intentionally or unintentionally; Other fraudulent acts as prescribed by Shopee from time to time.
